We have made the difficult decision to make no further offers to export plants till further notice!
The number of documents to prepare, the consequential fees and inspection charges and the inevitable loss of time make it necessary to concentrate on local, intrastate and interstate sales.

You will need to find out the import conditions your State or Country expect you to follow. Hibiscus Paradise exports to several countries.

Conditions include a mixture of the following:

1. Supplying an import permit with your order (this requires completion by our Dept. of Primary Industries quarantine inspectors after plants are inspected and dipped in specified insecticides, etc.)

2. The removal of all leaves and/or bare-rooting the plant of propagation medium, sterile sphagnum moss or its equivalent applied instead.

3. Some places will allow de-leafed cuttings, dipped, etc., to be imported.

4. On receiving the plant(s), some places have quarantine stations where the plant(s) must be observed for a set period of time before you take it home - if it survives their treatment. Even the cuttings must be grafted onto host plants and observed similarly. In other places, you can just take them home from the airport after customs inspection

Please find out fully the requirements before ordering. The fees charged at the different stages make it important to get the procedures right so that you eventually receive healthy plants.

The real cost of imported plants is the listed costs plus special packaging, freight, inspection fees at both ends of the journey (currently $75 minimum per inspection at our end) and any quarantine charges. A group purchase of a quantity of plants is worth consideration as the charges per plant can be minimized in this way.
